After doing two years of Fashion at the University of Edinburgh I transferred into second year of the Performance Costume course as I found the briefs and subject matter more inline with my personal interests and style and I find the creativity and level of imagination much more engaging. I lean towards most creative crafts and mediums in my personal projects and have found this translates well into the diverse range of skills we need and learn in costume design. I tend to use paint and sketching to visualise my silhouettes and use research to refine the details of the piece. I’m enjoying learning how to effectively use Clo3D as it will be a useful tool to better communicate my ideas and prototype faster and more sustainably.
